Report: AC Milan could offload potential Tottenham target in the summer

According to a report in TEAMtalk, Italian giants AC Milan are ready to sell Tottenham target Franck Kessie in the summer for a fee of €40 million (around £35 million pounds).

The Ivorian has had a fantastic season in the heart of the Rossoneri midfield, having found the back of the net four times in 26 Serie A appearances so far this season.

The 22-year-old has become one of the most consistent midfielders in Italian football since making the move to Milan at the start of last season.

Kessi has thus caught the interest of several clubs including North London rivals Spurs and Arsenal.

The report claims that AC Milan are now willing to let the midfielder go in order to be able to fund a permanent move for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Bakayoko who is on current loan from Chelsea has had a solid season at AC Milan and Gennaro Gattuso is said to be keen on adding the Frenchman to the squad.

If Kessie does become available, then it will certainly make sense for Spurs to go for him considering that the club are in desperate need for reinforcements in central midfield following the departure of Mousa Dembele.
