Report: AC Milan hold ‘concrete’ interest in Spurs player, ready to begin talks

Multiple Italian publications are now reporting that AC Milan are now set to step up their pursuit of Japhet Tanganga.

According to a report in talkSPORT this week, Spurs are ready to loan out Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga this summer, with Antonio Conte said to be intent on making further additions to their backline.

Sky Italia reported on Thursday that representatives from Milan had met with Tangnga’s agent in Italy this week, with the versatile defender alleged to be keen on getting regular game time during the 2022/23 campaign.

The same publication has now reported that the Rossoneri’s interest in the Spurs academy graduate is ‘confirmed’ and the 23-year-old represents a ‘concrete target’ for the Serie A giants.

This has also been backed up by Gianluca Di Marzio, who has claimed the reigning Serie A champions are now ready to make their first official contact with Spurs about Tanganga.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be extremely surprised if Spurs let Tanganga go this summer. Not only is the 23-year-old homegrown but his ability to cover for multiple positions across the backline would make him a decent squad option to have.

While Joe Rodon looks nailed on to leave Tottenham this summer, I believe Davinson Sanchez is more likely to join the Welshman than Tanganga is.
