Report: AC Milan ready to offer player-plus-cash deal for rumoured Spurs target

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are ready to make a player plus cash offer for rumoured Tottenham target Mikkel Damsgaard.

Damsgaard impressed in his first full Serie A campaign for Sampdoria last term and has taken that form into the European Championship, with the 20-year-old arguably being the Dane’s most potent attacking threat so far in the tournament.

The winger was first linked with a move to Spurs back in February and the speculation linking him with a move to North London has re-emerged following Fabio Paratici’s appointment.

Corriere dello Sport reported last week that AC Milan could challenge Spurs for the youngster’s signature.

If Gazzetta dello Sport are to be believed, the Rossoneri have made their first move for Damsgaard.

However, it is explained that the Serie A giants are not able to afford Sampdoria’s asking price for the winger which has increased substantially after his showing in the Euros.

The report suggested that Milan are ready to offer defender Andrea Conti to Sampdoria to bring down the price of Damsgaard.

I do not expect any of these players to be sold before the end of the Euros as selling clubs know that their value is only likely to go up if they perform well in the latter stages. If Spurs are interested in Damsgaard, hopefully, Hojbjerg can help convince the youngster to choose the North London club over Milan.
