Report: AC Milan receive big boost ahead of clash with Spurs this evening

AC Milan have received a major boost ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Tottenham, with Milan News reporting that Fikayo Tomori and Ismael Bennacer are expected to be available for the game.

Tottenham go into the first leg at the San Siro low on confidence after being thumped by Leicester City on Saturday.

The Lilywhites are also missing several of their key players for the game, with Hugo Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon, Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma out injured while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is suspended for the clash.

That means that Antonio Conte might have to start with an inexperienced central midfield pairing of Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr in Milan.

Milan will themselves be without their number one, Mike Maignan, who continues to recover from a calf injury he sustained in October of last year.

However, the Rossoneri have now been boosted by the news that Tomori and Bennacer, who were previously considered doubts for the match, are expected to be fit.

Milan News reveal that the midfielder and the centre-back joined in a full training session on Sunday morning and emerged from it unscathed.

Things do look pretty ominous for Spurs ahead of the first leg at the San Siro, with Milan getting back to winning ways against Torino on Saturday. Another heavy defeat on Tuesday would mean that our season would be all but over and it would raise serious doubts about the future of Conte.
