Report: AC Milan receive triple injury boost ahead of clash against Spurs

Sport Mediaset have revealed that Ismael Bennacer, Davide Calabria and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be available for AC Milan for their second leg against Tottenham next week.

Milan edged out Spurs 1-0 at the San Siro two weeks ago, with Brahim Diaz’s seventh-minute strike proving the difference between the two sides.

The home side had opportunities to add to their lead and carry an ever bigger cushion into the second leg but failed to take them, leaving the tie poised on a knife’s edge.

With away goals no longer applying in the Champions League, Antonio Conte’s men will have to beat the Serie A club at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to take the tie into extra time while they would have to win by two goals to progress to the quarterfinal of the competition.

However, Stefano Pioli’s side have now been boosted by the return of Bennacer and Calabria, with Sport Mediaset revealing that both players joined the squad for the latest training session.

In addition, the Rossoneri will also have the experienced Ibrahimovic to call upon in London after the Swede made his return to action in the 2-0 win over Atalanta on Sunday.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given the form we have shown at home over the last month, I fancy our chances of beating Milan and progressing to the quarterfinal of the Champions League.

There is no doubt that they are a much stronger side with Bennacer in midfield but Skipp’s performances give me hope that we can nullify their threat.
