Report: Agent of 25-year-old to travel to London for meeting with Tottenham chiefs

Gleison Bremer’s agent is set to fly to London for a meeting with the Tottenham hierarchy, according to Tuttosport.

The Brazilian centre-back joined Torino in 2018 and has since progressed into becoming one of their most important players.

He enjoyed his strongest campaign to date last season, with his part in a stubborn Granata defence seeing him named the best defender in Serie A (Football Italia).

Bremer’s displays have since seen him linked with a move away from Torino with fellow Italian sides Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus interested in a deal (Football Transfers).

Tottenham are also interested in the centre-back (Calicomercato.com), with head coach Antonio Conte allegedly requesting up to six transfers this summer (Telegraph).

And alongside Spurs’ interest, Tuttosport have claimed that Bremer’s agent Davide Vagnati will travel to London in the coming days to meet with the North London club’s chiefs to hold discussions about the 25-year-old.

It is thought the Premier League side would be able to offer Torino a full financial package worth €35 million (£29.8m) as opposed to Inter, who are holding out for a lower valuation.

However, it is noted that Bremer himself has set the Nerazzurri as his preferred destination, as well as their cross-city rivals Milan.

Spurs Web Opinion

Bremer’s agent travelling to London is interesting as it will give Spurs the opportunity to dig deeper into the player they are targeting.

From the report, it is unclear whether the discussions will be informal or not, but either way all the parties involves will have the chance of seeing how far talks could go.
