Report: Agent of Spurs target now in England to survey potential deal

Paulo Dybala’s agent is in England surveying a potential move to the Premier League for his client amid interest from Tottenham, according to Corriere dello Sport (Print edition 30/03/22) via Sport Witness.

Dybala is set to leave Juventus as a free at the end of the season after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract (Independent).

The Argentina international’s imminent availability on the transfer market is likely going to trigger a queue of clubs interested in securing a coup this summer.

Tottenham have been named as one of six clubs keen on Dybala, 28, though Inter Milan and Atletico have emerged as the front-runners at present (Giacomo Iacobellis).

However, the chances of a move to England could be on the up, with Corriere dello Sport reporting Dybala’s agent has been in the country scouting out a potential transfer.

The report also states Spurs are currently a ‘valid’ option for the Juve forward, who came close to joining the club during the summer of 2019.

However, the report also reaffirms the interest from Atletico Madrid who remain the leading contenders to tie down a transfer at the end of term.

Dybala has netted 13 times for Juve this season in a campaign disrupted by a variety of injuries (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

Dybala’s agent being in England maybe shouldn’t be seen as a massive game-changer, as he needs to find the best possible place for his client. He is likely going to have a look at Spain too.

However, it could be good news for Spurs if he gives the green light for a move to the Premier League, but securing a deal won’t be easy regardless of that.
