Report: Ajax interested in signing 24-year-old Spurs target on loan

Manchester Evening News have revealed that Ajax are interested in a loan deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who is also thought to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Hugo Lloris’ contract at Tottenham runs out at the end of the season and The Daily Mail reported last month that Henderson is one of the players Spurs are tracking as they look to find a long-term successor for the Frenchman.

However, multiple sources over recent days (The Athletic and Football.London) have revealed that Antonio Conte wishes to keep Lloris at the club beyond next summer.

So, it remains to be seen whether Spurs will go after Henderson or any of the other goalkeepers they have been linked with.

The Manchester United goalkeeper has only started one match all season and MEN have now revealed that he could be on his way to Ajax.

The Dutch club are alleged to have held talks with the Red Devils over a temporary deal for the 24-year-old.

The report states that Henderson would be open to embarking on a six-month or 18-month loan deal away from Old Trafford in January.

It is revealed that new United boss Ralf Rangnick is set to make a decision on the future of the England international in the coming weeks.

Now that some reliable sources are reporting that Lloris is expected to extend his contract at Spurs, the likes of Henderson are unlikely to be on the North London club’s radar for the time being.

While Spurs could be in the market for a backup goalkeeper next summer if they chose not to buy Gollini permanently, it is unlikely that Henderson would be an option for Conte’s men as the 24-year-old would want regular first-team football.
