Report: Ajax set price tag for attacking star linked to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur will know all about the young attacking team at Ajax and the incredible players they currently possess.

Spurs came face to face with the Dutch giants in the Champions League semi-finals, edging them out thanks to a second-half Lucas Moura hat-trick in Amsterdam.

However, one Ajax man who certainly impressed against Pochettino’s men was winger Hakim Ziyech, who scored a beautiful curled goal in the second leg.

It is no surprise that Spurs were later linked with a move for the Moroccan star (Daily Mail), and even less surprising once you realise how much he will cost.

The Mirror report that Ajax are looking for just over £30m for the winger, with Arsenal, Liverpool, and a host of other clubs said to be interested.

It was previously reported by the Express that the 26-year-old has a £25m buyout clause, but perhaps Ajax are looking to start a bidding war.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Spurs can get this player for £25m or even £30m, it is a no brainer in my books. I would see it as a similar signing to Man City and Riyad Mahrez last season. A winger to improve the squad and push for a starting spot, but at a much better price than Mahrez. I would love to see this deal go through, but there will be plenty of competition.
