Tottenham Hotspur could be set to make a move for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson before the summer transfer window closes, according to Football.London.
The report claims that the Welsh international has been a long-time target for Tottenham while Fabio Paratici was employed in the role of sporting director, and chief scout Leonardo Gabbanini, who has been stepping up to assist in transfer matters following the departure of his compatriot.
Spurs tipped to make move for Brennan Johnson
Tottenham have been tipped to make a move for Johnson if they are able to create room in their already bloated squad and a deal will depend on whether the North Londoners would be able to reach a deal with Forest, who value him in the region of £40m to £50m.
Johnson impressed his first Premier League campaign after helping Steve Cooper’s side secure promotion via the play-offs and played a key role in helping his side retain their top flight status, which saw him score ten times in 44 outings across all competitions last season (transfermarkt), which has also seen him attract interest from Brentford and Chelsea.

Johnson’s ability to play anywhere across the front three will be an attraction for Ange Postecoglou, who likes to have players who can play in multiple positions to be able to add a level of dynamism to how he sets up his team.
