Report: Ange Postecoglou does not trust 26-year-old Tottenham player

El Confidencial have claimed that Sergio Reguilon will be offloaded by Tottenham as Ange Postecoglou does not trust the left-back.

Over the last few weeks, multiple publications have named Reguilon as one of the players who could be sacrificed by Tottenham this summer as part of the club’s mass summer clear-out (The Athletic).

Earlier this week, we relayed a report from Estadio Deportivo which claimed Osasuna are looking for reinforcements at left-back and have identified the Tottenham man as a target.

However, the report added that agreeing on a fee with Spurs for the Spaniard ‘will be difficult’ for the La Liga club, which is why Jagoba Arrasate’s men are hoping that the player reaches an agreement with Spurs to terminate his contract.

Postecoglou has made his decision on Reguilon

Postecoglou will get his first look at Reguilon when pre-season training begins this weekend but according to El Confidencial’s latest update, the Australian has already made up his mind about the 26-year-old.

It is asserted that the new Tottenham head coach does not trust the former Real Madrid man to play in his system, which is why the player’s future lies away from North London.

The publication also backs up Osasuna’s interest in Reguilon but adds that it is unclear at the moment ‘under what conditions’ the left-back can leave Spurs.
