TEAMtalk have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur hold an interest in Motherwell starlet Lennon Miller ahead of the January transfer window.
Miller broke into Motherwell’s senior side last campaign and he featured in nine of the club’s eleven league matches so far this season (Transfermarkt).
The 17-year-old, who can operate as a number six or as a box-to-box midfielder, has turned quite a few heads with his performances at Fir Park.
TEAMtalk claim that even though Miller only signed a new contract with his boyhood club earlier this month, there is now an increasing chance that he will leave in January as the interest in his services continues to mount.
It is revealed that Celtic and Rangers are both keeping tabs on the teenager’s progress and they have competition to contend with from the south of the border.
Tottenham have scouted Motherwell’s Lennon Miller
The outlet states that Spurs have sent scouts to Scotland to watch the midfielder in action while the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, Brentford and West Ham also have their eye on the player.
Finally, the publication explains that Miller played against Ange Posteocglou’s Celtic side last season and the Aussie coach was sufficiently impressed by the youngster to retain an interest in him.
Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham are a far more attractive destination to young players, now that we have Ange in charge, given the 58-year-old’s track record of trusting upstarts and creating the right environment for them to succeed.
