Report: Another potential destination emerges for Dele Alli in January

According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United could also be ready to make a loan offer for Dele Alli when the transfer window opens next month.

There have been mixed reports on Alli’s future over the past couple of weeks, with some claiming that Tottenham would be open to letting the midfielder leave on a temporary deal, while others have suggested that the club want the 24-year-old to stay and fight for his place.

The Daily Mail revealed that the England international has been left in the dark over his future, with the club not communicating to him whether or not he is likely to be loaned out or sold in January.

The Telegraph have also seconded that claim, suggesting that Alli is unaware if he is still going to be at Spurs by the end of next month.

Like the Mail, they also identify Paris Saint-Germain and Everton as potential suitors for the former MK Dons man’s signature, but they also add that Magpies could look to take him to St James’ Park until the end of the season.

However, the report claims that Daniel Levy would rather loan the England international to a club on the continent rather than see him play for another English club.

I do expect Alli to leave on loan next month as his value will only continue to drop if he warms the bench at Spurs. If the club want to sell him permanently in the summer, a six-month loan move to a club where he is guaranteed regular football will be in the interest of all parties.
