Report: Another Spurs stadium event shifted to 2022

Tottenham have confirmed that the two Guns N’ Roses concerts set to be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have been moved to 2022.

Tottenham’s home ground has not seen any spectators since the pandemic hit last year, apart from the North London Derby last December when 2000 fans were allowed to attend after the Government temporarily eased restrictions.

The remainder of the Premier League season is set to be played behind closed doors but 8000 spectators will be allowed at Wembley for Tottenham’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on April 25.

As a result of the restrictions, several sporting events and concerts which were scheduled to be held last year had to be postponed.

It was confirmed last week that the NFL International Series will return to the 62,303- capacity venue later this Autumn.

However, the Guns N’ Roses concerts have been pushed back to next year as the government’s roadmap out of the current lockdown includes restrictions on large outdoor events until 21 June at the earliest.

Spurs thus confirmed that the new dates for the two Guns N’ Roses concerts will be Friday, 1 July 2022 and Saturday, 2 July 2022.

Spurs Web Opinion

This is not good news for the club as the sooner the stadium can be used to host various events, the sooner it would ease the club’s financial owes. Once things get back to normal, I would expect the club to book as many events as possible in order to make up for the lost revenue.
