According to a report in CalcioMercato (as relayed by InsideFutbol), Antonio Conte has told Napoli that he wants rumoured Tottenham target Alessandro Buongiorno to be his first signing.

The report says that Conte, who has been out of work since departing Tottenham 14 months ago, is now on the verge of a return to management, with an agreement with Napoli ‘looking all but done’.
As the first order of business, the Italian seemingly wants to hand a blow to his former employers by winning the race for Buongiorno.
The report says that the centre-half is of interest to the likes of Spurs and AC Milan, with Torino willing to sell their star man.

Napoli want to sign Alessandro Buongiorno this summer
However, it is alleged that Napoli could offer tough competition to those two sides ahead of Conte’s impending arrival.
The 54-year-old is alleged to have already discussed transfer targets ahead of joining the 2022-23 Serie A champions, with Buongiorno being at the top of his wishlist.

Napoli will likely have a huge transfer kitty this summer as that is something that Conte would have sought assurances over before joining. With Victor Osimhen also potentially departing the club, it might be hard for Tottenham to outbid the Serie A side for Buongiorno.
