Report: Antonio Conte has now landed in London for final Tottenham talks

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Antonio Conte has now landed in London to hammer out the final agreement with Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham announced this morning that they had parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo and his coaching staff, with Conte now the overwhelming favourite to replace the Portuguese coach.

The Telegraph reported earlier today that the Italian is set to arrive in London for face-to-face talks with chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, with the North London club hopeful of confirming Conte as the new head coach by tomorrow.

This was also backed up by BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone, who said Conte could be in place at Spurs by tomorrow morning.

According to Di Marzio’s latest update, Conte has now arrived in London to hold talks with the Tottenham hierarchy.

The journalist claims that the former Chelsea boss will now meet with Spurs to discuss ‘the last details’ before his appointment. Di Marzio further adds that Tottenham plan to ‘close everything’ by tonight.

Realistically speaking, Conte would not have travelled to London for a face-to-face meeting unless both parties are confident that an agreement can be reached. It now appears only a matter of time before the Italian’s appointment is confirmed.
