Report: Antonio Conte wants to raid former club for 21-year-old attacker

According to The Sunday Mirror (24/4; page 75), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Inter Milan starlet Martin Satriano.

Reports over recent weeks have indicated Spurs are increasingly confident that Harry Kane will still be at the club next season (Football.London). Despite that, Conte is allegedly keen on signing another striker during this summer’s transfer window (Telegraph).

If the Mirror’s latest update is to be believed, Satriano is one of the names on the Tottenham head coach’s wishlist. The Italian was in charge of Inter when the young Uruguayan joined the club in January of last year.

Satriano has found game time hard to come by at the San Siro but he has shone since his loan move to Brest in January, finding the back of the net four times in 12 Ligue 1 appearances (Transfermarkt).

The Mirror claim that Conte could look to reunite with the 21-year-old at Spurs but is stated the Lilywhites could face competition from Chelsea for the striker’s signature.

Signing a young, up and coming centre-forward rather than an established one might be the ideal strategy for Spurs, as a player like Satriano would likely be content playing a bit-part role for a season or two.

However, I am not sure Inter would be open to letting the 21-year-old go, particularly with reports indicating that they could lose Lautaro Martinez this summer (Corriere della Sera).
