Report: Tottenham target has had new contract offer on the table for over a year

There were a number of incredible attacking players in the Premier League last season, but few surpassed the numbers recorded by Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser.

Despite not plying his trade in one of the top teams in the Prem, Fraser still managed to rack up eight goals and a whopping 15 assists last season alone.

The Daily Star linked both Arsenal and Tottenham to the Bournemouth attacker earlier in the transfer window, but could he yet remain with the Cherries?

In a strange turn of events, Bournemouth have announced on their official club website that they have in fact offered Fraser a new contract.

Bournemouth Chief Executive, Neill Blake, revealed that a new offer has been on the table for a good while, but negotiations were paused in September 2018 to allow Fraser to concentrate on the competitive season.

Fraser enters the final 12 months of his contract next season, so it could well come down to whether the player is willing to sign this new contract or not.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If you ask me, the fact that he hasn’t yet signed implies that he is waiting for one of the big six clubs to make an offer. If no one comes in for him, I would expect to see him sign the new contract. However, this could be a great chance for Spurs to strengthen their squad with a bargain player.
