Report: Arrest warrant being ‘prepared’ for Paratici over Juventus scandal

According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport (as translated by Football Italia), authorities in Turin have prepared an arrest warrant for 16 people, allegedly including Juventus President Andrea Agnelli and Tottenham’s managing director of Fabio Paratici, over allegations that include false statements and false paperwork.

Paratici left Juventus in the summer of 2021 to take over at Spurs but the Italian has been seemingly been caught in a legal battle regarding alleged mishaps during his time with the Serie A giants.

Juventus have been accused of not just submitting false paperwork but also obstructing financial authorities.

The Bianconeri are said to have made it clear that financial fraud was not one of the accusations but a total of 16 people continue to be under investigation for the aforementioned charges.

It is revealed that Juve’s entire Board of Directors resigned abruptly on Monday evening, with a new set of directors to be appointed in January. There have reportedly been suggestions that the resignations came as a means to take some of the legal heat off the club amidst the accusations.
