Il Mattino have revealed that the race for rumoured Tottenham target, Noah Okafor, is now heating up, with Arsenal and Newcastle United among the clubs who are eyeing a move for the striker.
Although Okafor has not been a regular in RB Salzburg’s starting eleven this season, he has delivered whenever called upon, having 10 goal contributions in 20 Bundesliga appearances and three goals in six Champions League matches (Transfermarkt).
However, the 22-year-old’s future is uncertain as he will enter the final year of his contract at the Red Bull Arena in June.
Salzburger Nachrichten reported last week that Tottenham are eyeing a move for Okafor in the summer, with Salzburg said to be expecting a bid from the Lilywhites.
If Il Mattino’s latest update is to be believed, the Swiss international has now also emerged as a target for Arsenal and Newcastle ahead of the summer window.
The publication adds that Okafor is also of interest to several Serie A clubs, with Napoli thought to have asked for information about the striker while AC Milan and Juventus are also monitoring his situation.

Okafor’s contract situation means that Salzburg would have to sell him for a relatively low price this summer unless the striker decides to sign a new contract.
So, it is not surprising that so many clubs around Europe are watching his situation closely. However, I do expect Spurs to be on the market for a centre-forward if neither Kane nor Richarlison departs this summer.
