Report: Arsenal could make shock move for Tottenham academy graduate

TEAMtalk have claimed that former Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters could make a shock move to Arsenal before the transfer window closes.

Walker-Peters joined the Spurs academy in 2013 and progressed through the age group ranks at the club before Mauricio Pochettino eventually handed him his debut in the 2017-18 season.

The youngster departed his boyhood club to join Southampton in 2020 following the arrival of Jose Mourinho in search of regular game time.

The 26-year-old has excelled since his switch to the South Coast and it came as a surprise when no Premier League club poached him following the Saints’ relegation last term.

Kyle Walker-Peters could be set for a London return

It has now emerged that Walker-Peters could make a sensational return to North London, with Arsenal said to be circling over the former Tottenham man.

TEAMtalk says that Mikel Arteta’s men want to strengthen at full-back before the window slams shut on February 1, naming the Southampton star as a player ‘to keep an eye on over the next week’.

Spurs Web Opinion

While it would be quite strange to see Walker-Peters in an Arsenal shirt, one would think that the chance to move to a Champions League side would be extremely tempting for the former Tottenham man if the Gunners did come knocking.
