Report: Arsenal could now make an offer for Spurs-linked right-back

TuttoJuve have claimed that Arsenal are set to submit an offer for Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda, who is also rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Fresneda has won several admirers since breaking into Valladolid’s first-team last season, with the teenager having made 11 appearances across all competitions so far in 2022-23 (Transfermarkt).

90 min were the first to report on Tottenham’s interest in the 18-year-old, with the publication stating last week that the Lilywhites had watched the player this season and were considering making an offer for the youngster.

Fabrizio Romano took to social media a couple of weeks ago to report that Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus had already contacted Valladolid regarding a deal for the Spain Under-19 international.

However, if TuttoJuve‘s latest update is to be believed, it is Arsenal who are expected to make the first move for Fresneda.

The report states that the Gunners are keen to steal a march on the competition for the youngster’s signature and could be set to submit an offer of around €20m (£17.5m) to Valladolid.

Spurs Web Opinion

Fresneda seems like a typical Paratici target, with the 50-year-old having a history of snapping up up-and-coming talents before they explode on the big stage, both during his time at Juventus and at Spurs so far.

However, I am not sure I see the value of making such signings with Conte in charge as the Italian is perhaps not as willing to give opportunities to unproven talents as some other coaches like Graham Potter, Erik Ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino are.
