Report: Arsenal could offer swap deal to sign Spurs-linked Juventus midfielder

CalcioMercatoWeb.it have now revealed that Arsenal are looking to sign rumoured Tottenham target Manuel Locatelli and that the Gunners are willing to offer two of their players to Juventus in a potential swap offer for the Italy international.

Locatelli has not set the world alight since his move from Sassuolo to Juve 18 months ago, and it was CMW.it who first suggested a couple of months ago that the midfielder could be on the move in January.

The report claimed that Antonio Conte could ask the Tottenham hierarchy to make a move for the 24-year-old, who was alleged to be valued at around €35m-€40m (£30.7m-£35m).

The same publication have now offered an update on Locatelli’s future, explaining that Arsenal could be set to enter the race for the Juve star.

The report states that Mikel Arteta’s men would be willing to include either Granit Xhaka or Thomas Partey in a potential swap or part-exchange deal for the Italian.

However, CMW.it had that while such an exchange ‘could appeal’ to Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri’s men are unlikely to let Locatelli leave in January.

Spurs Web Opinion

There have been little to no reports over the last two months that Locatelli is on Tottenham’s radar. In fact, even the links to the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Sofyan Amrabat appear far-fetched as Spurs are unlikely to be in the market for a number six in January.
