Report: Arsenal could snap up youngster who Spurs recently failed to get on trial

The Mirror have claimed that American starlet Noel Buck is wanted by both Manchester City and Arsenal after Tottenham failed to take him on trial over the summer.

Buck, who broke into the New England Revolution first-team last season is having an impressive campaign this time out, having delivered several standout performances in Major League Soccer.

According to The Mirror, the 18-year-old’s displays have not gone unnoticed in Europe, with several of the continent’s biggest clubs said to be after him.

It is explained that the Massachusetts native ‘nearly’ agreed on a trial at Hotspur Way during the off-season but it did not materialise.

Will Spurs regret not getting Noel Buck on trial?

Buck is now said to be on the radar of several Premier League sides, with Arsenal, Man City and Burnley named as potential contenders for the teenager’s signature.

The midfielder, who has featured for England Under-19s (eligible through his British father), is thought to be valued at £6.6m by New England Revolution.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have shown with their recent acquisitions of Ashley Phillips, Alejo Veliz and Luka Vuskovic that they are prepared to take gambles on the best emerging young talent. So, I would not be surprised if we see Spurs pushing hard to win the race for Buck’s signature.
