Report: Arsenal enter race for 23-year-old centre-back linked with Spurs

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur could face competition from Arsenal for the signature of Nikola Milenkovic this summer.

Improving the club’s central defence is reportedly one of Tottenham’s priorities during this summer’s transfer window, with Alasdair Gold revealing that the club would ideally like to sign two new central defenders.

Milenkovic is one of the centre-backs rumoured to be on Spurs’ radar, with multiple sources (La Nazione and Fabrizio Romano) backing the North Londoners to potentially make a move for the Fiorentina star.

Sources from Italy have suggested that the likes of Manchester United, West Ham and Everton are also tracking the Serbian defender.

If Gazzetta dello Sport are to be believed, it looks as though Arsenal may have also entered the race for Milenkovic.

The publication suggests that, while Fiorentina are prepared to let the centre-back leave after his refusal to sign a new contract, the Gunners have now emerged as contenders for the 23-year-old’s signature.
