Brazilain journalist Thiago Fernandes has revealed on his YouTube Channel (as translated by Sport Witness) that Arsenal are also plotting a move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who is rumoured ot be on Tottenham’s radar.
Various reliable sources, including Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, have claimed over the last few weeks that Spurs are keen on adding a number six to their squad and that Ederson is one of the names at the top of their wishlist.
However, the Lilywhites are not thought to be alone in their admiration for the midfielder, with the likes of Atletico Madrid (Marca), Barcelona (Mundo Deportivo) and Manchester United (Goal) also credited with an interest in the 24-year-old.
Spurs have competition to sign Ederson
Fernandes has now revealed that more Premier League clubs are now queuing up to land Ederson, claiming Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United are all keeping tabs on the player.
He adds that the midfielder looks bound for the English shores summer and asserts that Atalanta will demand between €60m (£51.7m) and €70m (£60.3m) for the Brazilian.

I believe that Tottenham would be prepared to spend a significant portion of their summer budget on a number six. If the Lilywhites have identified Ederson as their top target, I believe they would be willing to pay £50m-£60m to bring him through the door.
