Report: Arsenal fans plot potential naked Sol Campbell flag for Spurs away game

No one player inspires as much hate and contempt among the Spurs fans as former club captain and defender, Sol Campbell.

The defender has never been forgiven for the atrocious act of betrayal he committed back in the summer of 2001 when he joined Tottenham’s North London rivals, Arsenal, on a free transfer.

The England international received subsequent abuse from the Tottenham faithful whenever he appeared at White Hart Lane, while Arsenal fans have rarely missed an opportunity to rub salt in the wound.

To make matters worse, some Arsenal fans are now plotting to potentially unfurl a huge naked Campbell banner in the next North London derby.

‘REDaction Gooners’ Twitter account, which has more than 58,000 followers, has proposed the idea of setting up a GoFundMe page to get the banner of a naked Sol Campbell made.

Needless to say, the idea was received enthusiastically by some Arsenal fans, who indicated that they would be more than willing to contribute to the banner.
