Report: Arsenal hopeful that three key players will be fit to face Spurs

Football.London have revealed Arsenal are hopeful that Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu will be fit for the north London derby while Kieran Tierney is expected to be ready to take the field on Saturday.

Zinchenko did not join up with the Ukraine squad after picking up a calf injury in Arsenal’s win over Brentford ahead of the international break while Tomiyasu and Tierney reportedly returned earlier than expected from the Scotland and Japan camps respectively.

Meanwhile, Partey returned to Arsenal without playing a single minute during the international break after picking up a knee injury ahead of Ghana’s clash against Brazil last week.

Football.London have claimed that the Gunners are positive that Tierney will be fit for the clash against Spurs.

It is explained that Partey, Zinchenko and Tomiyasu are being assessed ahead of the weekend and will continue to be monitored until Saturday.

As things stand, it is said that Mikel Arteta’s men remain hopeful that all three players could be involved in the North London Derby while Martin Odegaard is also expected to be fit for the clash.

Spurs Web Opinion

It looks like Arsenal will likely have their strongest team out for the clash on Saturday. It is worrying that we have not had any concrete updates on the fitness of either Hugo Lloris or Ben Davies yet.

Despite Fraiser Forster’s vast experience, I would be a bit worried if he made his debut in the North London derby.
