Report: Arsenal interested in signing rumoured Tottenham target

Sky Sports have reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Sheffield United keeper, Aaron Ramsdale, who has also been linked with Spurs this summer.

Ramsdale is said to be one of a number of different keepers that Arsenal are looking at, with the 23-year-old having been relegated with the Blades last season.

The Daily Mail reported recently that Tottenham are interested in the young English shot-stopper who was called up to the England Euro 2020 squad this week to replace the injured Dean Henderson.

The report claimed that Spurs see Ramsdale as a potential replacement for Hugo Lloris who has just 12 months left on his contract in North London.

However, The Star also reported that Ramsdale does not want to leave Sheffield United and will not force through a transfer this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I just can’t see Spurs splashing out on a new first-team keeper this summer. I think we could bring in a cheap or free backup to Lloris and then we will move for a more permanent replacement next summer if Hugo decides to leave.
