Report: Arsenal ‘likely to be priced out’ of move for rumoured Spurs targets

According to a report from The Daily Mail, Arsenal could be priced out of moves for Max Aarons and Tariq Lamptey, two players who are also rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Additions at centre-back and right-back are expected to be a priority for Spurs this summer.

Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld have both been linked with moves away from the club while Serge Auier is also expected to leave North London.

Aarons and Lamptey are two of the options Spurs are said to be eyeing to bolster their options at right-back, while Brighton’s Ben White is rumoured to be one of the centre-back options on the club’s radar.

The Daily Mail have now revealed that Tottenham’s North London rivals, Arsenal, also view White as a priority this summer, with the England international said to be a the top of Mikel Arteta’s wishlist.

However, the report makes it clear that the Gunners are unlikely to be in a position to afford Lamptey on top of White and it is explained that they are also likely to get priced out of a move for Aarons.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given our issues at right-back and our problems in fulfilling the homegrown player criteria, one of either Lamptey or Aarons this summer would be the perfect signing for us. If I were to choose between the two, I would prefer the Brighton man but I would also be very happy with the Norwich star.
