The latest reports from France indicate that Arsenal have entered the race to sign rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target, Morgan Sanson.
Sanson has been a consistent performer in the heart of Marseille’s midfield since arriving from Montpellier in January 2017.
Off the back of another solid season for Andre Villas-Boas’ side, the midfielder is reportedly attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League.
It was reported earlier this year that Marseille were looking to cash in on the 25-year-old and that his agent, Pini Zahavi, had offered the midfielder to Spurs (Foot Mercato).
Le10Sport have now claimed that Spurs’ North London rivals, Arsenal have enquired about the midfielder’s availability. It is revealed that Mikel Arteta’s side have also spoken to Sanson’s representatives over a possible move to the Emirates.
However, the report asserts that the Gunners are yet to make an offer for the Marseille star and that other English clubs are also showing interest.
Spurs Web Opinion
Sanson is a technically competent midfielder with a decent engine but I do not think he is good enough to really take us to the next level. At best, I see him as nothing more than a useful squad player. I certainly would not mind seeing him join Arsenal.
