Report: Arsenal may be prepared to ‘blow Spurs out of water’ in race for youngster

According to a report in Football Insider, Arsenal are now taking a keen interest in Dutch wonderkid, Lamare Bogarde, who has also been linked to a move to Spurs.

The 16-year-old defender is yet to make a senior appearance for Feyenoord but his performances for the youth sides at his club and for Holland have made him a wanted man across Europe.

The likes of Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Juventus and AC Milan are all said to be after him. Football Insider previously reported that Tottenham’s scouts were left impressed with the centre back and the Lilywhites were thus preparing a move for him this summer.

The same publication now reports that talent spotters from Arsenal have been alerted to the young defender’s potential and they will challenge their North London rivals for his signature.

In fact, the Gunners are said to be so impressed with Bogarde’s ability, that it is claimed that they may be prepared to blow Spurs out of the water in order to bring the teenager to the Emirates.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe that we will see more youngsters switch clubs this summer than in most previous transfer windows. This is because several clubs around Europe will look to recoup some of the money they’ve lost during the coronavirus crisis. We can certainly pick up some great deals if we approach the market correctly.
