Sabah have now revealed that the race for Tottenham target Semih Kilicsoy is now intensifying, with a whole host of clubs across Europe, including Arsenal, now expressing interest in the Besiktas starlet.
Top centre-forwards have become a rare breed in football nowadays, which is why there is seemingly so much interest in the 18-year-old who has broken through at Besiktas and making waves in his first season of senior football.
Kilicsoy, who found the back of the net nine times in 14 league matches so far, is thought to be on Tottenham’s radar, with various Turkish outlets suggesting over the last two weeks that the Liywhites are watching the player (Haberturk).
Journalist Ertan Suzgun told Sports Digitale a couple of days ago that Ange Postecoglou’s men are one of the two leading contenders for the centre-forward’s signature alongside Aston Villa.

Arsenal join Spurs in the race for Semih Kilicsoy
However, Sabah now say that Spurs have been joined in the race for Kilicsoy by their North London rivals Arsenal, while Borussia Dortmund are also said to have their eye on the striker.
The report states that apart from these three clubs, RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt, Atlético Madrid and Juventus, have also taken notice of the youngster’s performances.
The publication adds that the interest in Kilicsoy continues to grow, with many of these clubs expected to knock on Besiktas’ door in June.
Spurs Web Opinion
While Kilicsoy is not likely to be too expensive, the decision on his next destination is likely to be heavily influenced by the player’s entourage and I am not so sure if the 18-year-old would be overly keen on making a switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at this stage of his career.
His advisors would likely be telling him to go to a mid-table club as a stepping stone so that he can continue getting regular game time.
