Arsenal have become the latest side to enter the race for rumoured Spurs target Serhou Guirassy, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The Amiens forward, who arrived from Cologne last summer, has been one of the most consistent forwards in Ligue 1 this season.
Despite Amiens being relegated, the striker managed nine goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances (transfermarkt.com).
The Lilywhites are said to be keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old, with the club’s scouts having been spotted at Stade de la Licorne in February to watch the striker during Amiens’ 4-4 draw against PSG (Daily Mail).
Chelsea and West Ham are also said to be interested in the centre-forward (Le10Sport), with Amiens president Bernard Joannin admitting that the club have received multiple offers from England (L’Equipe’s du Soir programme via Le11Amienois).
The Daily Mail have now named Spurs’ North London rivals, Arsenal, as potential suitors. They also report that the Guirassy’s agent, Mark McKay, has admitted that the striker prefers a move to the Premier League.
McKay is quoted as saying: “A number of clubs in England and across Europe have shown an interest in Serhou after he performed so well for Amiens.
“In the current climate due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic clubs might not be able to pay huge transfer fees like they used to and in that respect, Serhou could prove to be a bargain in this window.
“Serhou’s preference has always been to play in the English Premier League, but Amiens will evaluate all offers that come in for him and make a decision from there.”

It is certainly not surprising to see many Premier League sides expressing interest in Guirassy. The Amiens forward has shown this season that he has all the attributes to succeed in the Premier League. Now that Amiens’ relegation has been confirmed, he will likely be rather cheap too.
