Report: Arsenal set to make offer for 11-goal winger Spurs are also keen on

According to Turkish publication Star Gazetesi, Arsenal have entered the race for Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu, who is allegedly on Tottenham’s radar.

Akturkoglu’s reputation has blossomed since his move to Galatasaray in 2020 and the wide-man is currently having an outstanding campaign, with 11 goals and 10 assists to his name across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).

Aksam claimed last month that Spurs had sent scouts to Turkey to run the rule over the player this season and will knock on Galatasaray’s door for the 23-year-old when the transfer window reopens.

CNN Turk subsequently claimed that Galatasaray are set to demand around €35m (£29.5m) for the Turkey international this summer.

According to Star Gazetesi’s latest update, Arsenal are now also on Akturkoglu’s trail, with the Gunners ready to begin negotiations with Galatasaray at the end of the season.

The report adds that Mikel Arteta’s side are ready to test the water with a €20m (£16.6m) offer for the winger.

Spurs are also named as potential suitors for Akturkoglu, along with Atletico Madrid, Wolfsburg, and Lyon.

Spurs Web Opinion

Turkish outlets are not the most reliable when it comes to transfer news and none of the journalists close to Spurs have reported anything on the North Londoners’ interest in Akturkoglu.

Even if Tottenham are following the 22-year-old’s progress, that does not necessarily mean that we are likely to make an offer for him.
