Report: Arsenal talking to Gareth Bale’s agent – Spurs also speaking about a return

2019 is almost over and it would be a shame not to end it without the yearly Gareth Bale back to Tottenham rumours, however, this time there is a twist.

Sport have reported that not only are Spurs in contact with Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, but Arsenal are also talking to the Welshman’s representative (via Goal.com).

It is reportedly now accepted that a swift exit away from Madrid would be best for both Bale and Real, with a number of suitors lining up.

Bale left Tottenham way back in 2013 and hasn’t really looked back since, winning four Champions League titles, amongst a whole host of other honours.

In seven seasons for Los Blancos, Bale has racked up 238 games and scored an impressive 104 goals in a Real Madrid shirt. In his final three seasons at Spurs, Bale managed 127 games and 49 goals (Wikipedia).

Now 30-years-old and prone to injury, it remains to be seen whether anyone will pay the necessary wages and transfer fee for the Wales captain.
