Report: Arsenal to step up pursuit for midfielder linked with Spurs

Unai Emery has had a difficult first season at Arsenal after failing to deliver a top four finish in the Premier League.

Arsenal must now beat Chelsea in the final of the Europa League in order to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

A report in the Mirror, claims Unai Emery is ready to begin rebuilding the Arsenal squad immediately after the final by sanctioning a move to sign Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser.

The 25-year-old midfielder has had an impressive season for the Cherries having scored 8 goals and registered 15 assists in 41 appearances.

Tottenham are one of many Premier League clubs who have been linked with the Scottish international, who only has one more year to run on his contract on the south coast (The Sun).

Fraser is reported to be available for a price of £30 million with Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe admitting that his future at the club is uncertain (The Mirror).

If Christian Eriksen is to depart the club this summer, it is unlikely that any one player will be able to replace the Dane but Fraser is certainly of a similar mould.

We believe he will be a perfect fit for Tottenham’s system and at the reported £30 million would represent good value if he can recreate this season’s form in North London.
