Report: Arsenal vs Tottenham game may be postponed – Chelsea at risk too

Football London have reported that Arsenal vs Tottenham on October 1 is at risk of being postponed due to rail strikes, while Crystal Palace vs Chelsea could suffer the same fate.

This comes after Tottenham’s match against Man City was called off last week as a mark of respect to the late Her Majesty the Queen, while three Premier League fixtures were postponed this weekend due to the upcoming state funeral (Reuters).

Inews have revealed that while train strikes were originally scheduled for the 15th and 17th of September, they were cancelled as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. These strikes will now take place on October 1st and 5th.

Employees from 12 rail companies will be striking across those two dates, which may impact the London matches on October 1, namely Arsenal vs Tottenham and Crystal Palace vs Chelsea.

Football London claim the fixtures are now at risk of being postponed as a result, although nothing is confirmed.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If fans can’t get to games, it makes sense for them to be postponed. However, I hope they do it weeks in advance rather than a couple of days, which would give people no time to change their plans.
