According to CalcioMercato, Arsenal are interested in Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez, who came close to joining Tottenham Hotspur last summer.
Tottenham were heavily linked with a move for Martinez during the summer transfer window (Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness) but ultimately failed to lure the forward away from Inter.
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold revealed at the time that Spurs had initially agreed on a €60m (£50.9m) fee for the 24-year-old but the deal fell through following Romelu Lukaku’s move to Chelsea, with Inter no longer needing the funds from the Argentine’s sale.
The reigning Serie A champions announced back in October that the forward had put pen to paper on a new deal that runs until 2026.
CalcioMercato have now revealed that Martinez could be on his way to the Premier League in the summer, with Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal being one of the clubs interested in his services.
In addition, the report claims that the Inter star is also on Manchester City’s radar.

If Martinez becomes available in the summer, one would think that Spurs would be in the running for the striker’s signature, particularly with Kane’s future yet to be sorted out.
The Conte factor could give us an advantage over Arsenal but we are unlikely to be able to convince the 24-year-old to join unless we get back into the Champions League.
