Report: Arsenal willing to pay £30m for wing-back Spurs allegedly want

CMW.it have claimed that Arsenal are keen on snapping up Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries, who is also rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the January transfer window.

Dumfries has excelled since his switch from PSV Eindhoven to Inter in the summer of 2021, with the Dutchman having five goal contributions to his name so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Reports over recent weeks have tipped Tottenham to sign a right wing-back in the January transfer window, with Antonio Conte said to be keen on an ‘overhaul’ in the position (90 min).

Dumfries is thought to be one of the names on Spurs’ wishlist, with Journalist Rudy Galetti revealing on his website a couple of days ago that Conte views the Inter star as the ideal option to replace Emerson Royal in January.

Galetti added that the Netherlands international was also of interest to both Manchester United and Chelsea. If CMW.it’s latest update is to be believed, Arsenal are also eyeing a January move for Dumfries.

The report asserts that the Gunners are anticipating competition from Premier League rivals for the 26-year-old and want to move early to strike a deal for the player.

It is alleged that the Nerazzurri value the right wing-back at around €40m (£35m) while Mikel Arteta’s men are willing to offer around €35m (£30.7m) for his services.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is not surprising to see that several Premier League clubs are after Dumfries as the Dutchman has shown to be defensively competent, possess a fantastic engine and also pose a threat in the final third. The Inter star will fit better into Tottenham’s system than he would at Arsenal or Man Utd.
