Tottenham Hotspur scooped up the free signing of Joe Hart earlier this summer, with the former England shot-stopped joining Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga on the books.
All three of the Spurs keepers have been seen in action throughout pre-season so far, with Lloris often playing the first 45 before Hart and Gazzaniga share the second half duties.
Gazzaniga proved to be an able deputy for Lloris during a long-term injury to the Frenchman last season, although he did suffer to odd lapse in concentration.
It was Gazzaniga’s penalty that handed Chelsea the opening goal in a crucial match in North London in the race for the top four last season, a match that Spurs lost 2-0.
The Argentine has played 37 games for the Lilywhites since joining from Southampton in 2017 (Wikipedia).
Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth has now reported during Transfer Talk that Aston Villa are interested in signing Gazzaniga this summer, claiming that Tottenham need to sell players during the window (via fellow Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge).
