Tottenham Hotspur may have started the season poorly, but central midfield has arguably been the stand out feature in the underperforming team.
The likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, and Moussa Sissoko have been some of the hardest-working, most impressive, and most consistent players in the squad.
In fact, Pochettino has a wealth of central midfield options at his disposal at the moment, with Winks, Ndombele, Sissoko, Oliver Skipp, Victor Wanyama, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Giovani Lo Celso, Eric Dier, and more.
However, a report from the Birmingham Mail claims that Aston Villa are one of the favourites to sign Dier from Spurs in the January transfer window.
This comes after Dier has made just one start for the Lilywhites in the Premier League this season, which came against Brighton last weekend.
The England man looked way off the pace and it looks as if he has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs.

Should have been getting better as the years go by, but I think the opposite has happened. Dier seems to have found his peak and Spurs should cash in if they get a decent offer.
