Report: Atletico Madrid want this Spurs player to join Trippier in January

Tottenham Hotspur managed to hold onto one of their best players in Christian Eriksen this summer, despite the fact that the player himself claimed he wanted a move away.

Eriksen said that he was looking for a new challenge and a step up after the Champions League Final defeat to Liverpool (Ekstra Bladet).

However, the European transfer window is now shut until January, meaning that Eriksen remains a Tottenham player for the significant future.

Pochettino also started the Great Dane in the North London Derby at the weekend, with Eriksen even grabbing the opener, which hints that he will remain a first-team regular.

One man who Spurs did choose to sell this summer was right-back Kieran Trippier, who moved to Atletico Madrid in Spain.

AS now claim that Atletico want Christian Eriksen to join his ex-Spurs teammate in La Liga in January, as Spurs may be forced to sell up or lose the Dane on a free in the summer.
