Report: Attacker is hoping Tottenham come calling for him this summer

According to Tuttosport (as relayed by Sport Witness) Albert Gudmundsson is hoping that Tottenham Hotspur make an offer for him this summer.

Gudmundsson has been one of the standout attackers across the Serie A so far this season and the versatile forward continues to be heavily linked with a move away from the Luigi Ferraris Stadium this summer.

TuttoSport have now provided an update on the growing battle for the 26-year-old’s signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

Albert Gudmundsson wants a Tottenham move

The outlet backs up what we have already heard from various sources by suggesting that it is a three-horse race for Gudmundsson between Spurs, Juventus and Inter Milan.

It is alleged that Spurs are following the Iceland international with interest and have received some encouragement in their pursuit of the player.

This is because the forward is dreaming of a move to the Premier League this summer and is thus hoping that Ange Postecoglou’s side will come calling sooner rather than later.

Finally, the report adds that Gudmundsson would also be open to moving to Inter this summer but the Nerazzurri have not taken any firm steps in their pursuit of the Genoa star yet.

Spurs Web Opinion

This update contradicts some of the previous reports about Gudmundsson, which suggested that he would prefer to remain in Serie A this summer. There will likely be a few more twists and turns in this transfer story over the next two months.
