Report: Attacker makes surprisingly fast return from injury – Spurs may have got rid too soon

Football.London have revealed in their weekly update on the Tottenham stars out on loan that Ivan Perisic was named in Hajduk Split’s matchday squad for their clash against Istra at the weekend.

Perisic has not had any competitive action since suffering a cruciate ligament injury back in September of last year and the general consensus was the 35-year-old might not play again this season.

In January, the experienced wide-man completed a loan move to Hajduk, which meant that he had said his goodbye to Spurs since his contract with the North London club ran out in June.

Ivan Perisic is back from injury already

Just a little over a month after his move to the Croatian side, it seems like Perisic has already recovered from his problem, with the on-loan Tottenham man being named on the bench on Saturday as Hajduk emerged 1-0 winners.

While he remained an unused substitute in the match, the fact that he was named among the substitutes suggests that he is not far off a full recovery.

In fact, Football.London also reveal that Perisic has been named in the Croatia squad for their upcoming international friendlies in the UAE later this month.

This is fantastic news for Ivan as it means that he will feature for Croatia in the European championship in the summer, which in all likelihood is going to be his final major tournament for his country.
