Report: Attacker will decide his next club this month amidst Spurs interest

The Evening Standard have claimed that Tottenham target Manor Solomon will decide on his next destination later this month.

Solomon spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Fulham after FIFA ruled that foreign players in Ukraine could suspend their contracts following Russia’s invasion of the country.

The Athletic reported last month that while Fulham wish to tie the Israeli international to a long-term contract this summer, Spurs were now leading the race for the 23-year-old’s signature.

Solomon is now officially a free agent but Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Sergei Palkin has threatened to sue Tottenham if they sign the winger on a free transfer, insisting it is unfair that the Ukrainian giants would not be getting any sort of transfer fee for the player (ESPN).

Manor Solomon will pick his next club this month

The Evening Standard have now also named Fulham and Spurs as the two clubs who are circling around the pacy wide-man.

The publication asserts that Solomon will make a final decision on which club to join following Israel’s Euro 2024 qualifiers against Belarus and Androrra, with the latter scheduled for 19 June.

The only reason that Solomon might be tempted to pick Fulham over Spurs is if he feels he has a better shot of getting regular first-team football at Craven Cottage.

I do wonder if Shaktar’s threat about going to court would put off Tottenham as the North London club might be keen to avoid a legal battle even if they are sure that they would not be in the wrong by signing the winger on a free transfer.
