Report: Bad news for Spurs as target makes U-turn and wants to stay at current club

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a sensational move for Juventus playmaker and forward, Paulo Dybala, in the last week.

Dybala has played four seasons at Juventus, racking up 182 games and 78 goals in that time, an impressive record (Wikipedia).

In fact, Italian media outlet, La Stampa, even claimed that Spurs had submitted a bid of £45m for the Argentine attacker, which was swiftly rejected by Juventus. The Italian giants reportedly wanted something closer to £80m.

The Sun added that Dybala had apparently aid yes to a proposed Tottenham move after holding talks with Maurizio Sarri, seemingly keen on joining up with fellow Argentine, Pochettino.

However, there has no been somewhat of a U-turn, as Sky Sports now report that Dybala wants to remain at Juventus this summer to fight for his place.

It seems as if Tottenham will have to look elsewhere for a new attacking midfielder this summer, with Giovani Lo Celso tipped to be signing soon (Mirror).
