In fact, Italian media outlet, La Stampa, even claimed that Spurs had submitted a bid of £45m for the Argentine attacker, which was swiftly rejected by Juventus. The Italian giants reportedly wanted something closer to £80m.
The Sun added that Dybala had apparently aid yes to a proposed Tottenham move after holding talks with Maurizio Sarri, seemingly keen on joining up with fellow Argentine, Pochettino.
However, there has no been somewhat of a U-turn, as Sky Sports now report that Dybala wants to remain at Juventus this summer to fight for his place.
It seems as if Tottenham will have to look elsewhere for a new attacking midfielder this summer, with Giovani Lo Celso tipped to be signing soon (Mirror).
