Tutto Juve have claimed Xavi Hernandez has not given up hope of bringing Giovani Lo Celso to Barcelona after the La Liga club’s failed move for the midfielder in the summer.
A couple of days ago we relayed a report from Estadio Deportivo which suggested that Real Betis remain attentive to Lo Celso’s situation after missing out on the player in the last transfer window.
The outlet explained that Manuel Pellegrini’s side might seize any opportunity to sign the Argentine in the winter.
Barcelona remain keen on Giovani Lo Celso
Tutto Juve have now revealed while reporting on Juventus’ interest in Lo Celso that Barca also remain keen on the player.
The outlet says that the Old Lady have noticed the fact that the 27-year-old does not have a prominent role under Ange Postecoglou and see him as a potential ‘cheap’ option.
However, it is explained that the Turin club are expected to face competition from Barca as Xavi Hernandez has ‘not forgotten’ about the Tottenham man.
The report adds that the Spanish coach sees Lo Celso as the perfect fit for his system at Camp Nou.

Lo Celso is going to be the subject of plenty of interest when the transfer window reopens in January but I doubt Postecoglou would want to let him go without bringing another attacking midfielder through the door as the Argentine remains the only natural cover for Maddison.
