Report: Barcelona draft seven-man shortlist to replace Suarez – including Spurs player

Tottenham Hotspur may have some competition for their star man Harry Kane in January, as Barcelona have reportedly drafted a wish list for Luis Suarez’s replacement.

Suarez is in good form this season, but he turns 33 in January and Barca are said to be keen on investing in a player for the future.

Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona have come up with seven possible names to fill the Uruguayan’s boots for the foreseeable future, including Tottenham’s very own Kane.

The Spanish giants’ top target is apparently Kylian Mpbappe, but the club are doubtful as to whether they can come up with the funds needed in a short space of time.

The remaining five players catching Barca’s eye include Marcus Rashford, Roberto Firmino, Rafael Leao, Donyell Malen, and Lautaro Martinez.

Whatever happens, Barcelona will have a tough time negotiating a deal with Daniel Levy for arguably the club’s biggest player.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Not a chance that Kane leaves for Barcelona. They would not pay what Levy would ask for and I doubt that Kane wants to leave the Premier League.
