Spanish newspaper Sport (as relayed by Sky Sports’ live transfer centre – 12/11 at 09:27) reveal that Barcelona have now entered the race to sign rumoured Tottenham target Wilfred Ndidi.
To people’s surprise, Ndidi ended up remaining at Leicester City in the summer despite the club’s relegation from the Premier League and the Nigerian has formed an impressive partnership with former Spurs midfielder Harry Winks in the middle of the park.
However, the 26-year-old’s future is up in the air as his current contract at the King Power Stadium runs out next summer (Transfermarkt).
TEAMtalk reported last week that Tottenham are one of a number of Premier League clubs eyeing a January move for Ndidi, with with outlet adding that Postecolgou’s men could face competition from the likes of Newcastle, Aston Villa and Brentford for the player.

Barcelona enter the race for Wilfried Ndidi
If Sport’s latest update is to be believed, Barca are now eyeing a move for the Leicester star when the transfer window reopens.
The report states that the Catalan club have shown interest in Ndidi in the past but were put off by his £60m price tag but they now sense an opportunity for a cut-price deal, due to the player’s contract situation.
The publication asserts that s Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Juventus have also enquired about the Foxes star ahead of January.
Spurs Web Opinion
It certainly is not unsurprising to hear that the interest in Ndidi is growing ahead of January. If the midfielder does not sign a new contract within the next month and a half, one would assume that Leicester would have no choice but to cash in on him rather than lose him for nothing next summer.
